Refund Policy
Disclaimer
At Sour Apple Consulting, we are committed to providing professional, high-quality consulting services tailored to each client’s goals and needs. Because consulting services involve time, expertise, research, planning, and customized deliverables, refunds are handled according to the terms outlined below.
Refunds | Cancellations & Disputes
1. Initial Consultations
Fees paid for consultations, discovery sessions, strategy sessions, or other completed meetings are non-refundable once the consultation has occurred. If a scheduled consultation is canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice, the client may request to reschedule the appointment.
2. Deposits and Initial Payments
Unless otherwise stated in a signed agreement, deposits and initial payments are generally non-refundable once work has begun. A deposit may cover project planning, research, scheduling, administrative preparation, and reserved consulting time.
3. Cancellation Before Work Begins
If a client cancels a project before Sour Apple Consulting has begun performing services, the client may be eligible for a refund of amounts paid, less any applicable administrative fees or documented expenses. Refund eligibility will be determined based on the specific service agreement.
4. Cancellation After Work Begins
Once consulting work has begun, payments are generally non-refundable. If a project is canceled, Sour Apple Consulting may provide the client with completed work or work product that has been paid for, subject to the terms of the applicable consulting agreement. Any outstanding balance for services already performed remains due.
5. Project-Based Services
For services involving customized deliverables—including business plans, grant proposals, project management plans, research, strategic plans, administrative projects, or other written materials—refunds are not generally available for work that has already been completed or substantially completed. If a client is dissatisfied with a deliverable, Sour Apple Consulting will work with the client to address reasonable revisions within the scope of the original agreement.
6. Revision Policy
Where revisions are included in the service agreement, clients may request revisions within the specified revision period. Requests that substantially change the original project scope may be treated as additional services and may require a separate fee.
7. Service Delays or Scheduling Changes
A change in the client’s schedule, failure to provide requested information, delayed communication, or inability to participate in the project does not automatically qualify the client for a refund. Sour Apple Consulting will make reasonable efforts to accommodate scheduling changes when possible.
8. Third-Party Expenses
Fees paid to third parties on behalf of a client—including application fees, software, filing fees, research services, printing, subscriptions, contractors, or other approved expenses—may be non-refundable and are subject to the third party’s policies.
9. Refund Requests
Refund requests must be submitted in writing and include:
● Client name
● Project or service purchased
● Date of payment
● Amount paid
● Reason for the refund request
Refund requests will be reviewed based on the applicable service agreement and the work already performed.
10. Approved Refunds
When a refund is approved, Sour Apple Consulting will communicate the approved amount and expected processing timeframe.
Refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method when practical. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
11. Disputes
Clients are encouraged to contact Sour Apple Consulting directly to resolve concerns before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
12. Agreement to Policy
By purchasing consulting services from Sour Apple Consulting, the client acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this Refund Policy and any additional terms contained in the applicable consulting services agreement.
